Terms of Service

By downloading, installing, or using the GamifyFI application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the App.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and GamifyFI ("we", "us", "our").

GamifyFI is a personal finance management and financial education application that provides:

• Manual and automatic transaction tracking
• Budget management and savings goal setting
• AI-powered financial coaching and insights (powered by Google Gemini)
• Financial literacy quizzes and educational content
• Optional cloud synchronization via Firebase (requires account)
• A virtual investment simulator for educational purposes using play money — not real money

GamifyFI includes an Investment Simulator that allows users to practise investing using virtual play money. By using the Investment Simulator, you acknowledge and agree to all of the following:

• No real transactions: The simulator does not execute actual stock purchases or sales. No real money is ever transferred, and no real securities are bought or sold on your behalf.
• Virtual currency has no value: The virtual cash balance in the simulator has no monetary value and cannot be withdrawn, converted to real money, or used for any real financial purpose.
• Third-party market data — Yahoo Finance: Stock price data displayed in the simulator is sourced from Yahoo Finance's publicly accessible API. GamifyFI is not affiliated with Yahoo Finance or Yahoo Inc.
• 15-minute data delay: All NSE (National Stock Exchange) and BSE (Bombay Stock Exchange) market prices provided through Yahoo Finance's free API carry a minimum 15-minute exchange delay, as required by the respective stock exchanges. Prices displayed in the App are therefore not real-time and will differ from current live market prices.
• Price accuracy not guaranteed: We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any market data displayed in the App. Market data may be unavailable, inaccurate, or outdated due to technical limitations of the underlying third-party API.
• Educational purpose only: The simulator is provided solely for financial literacy and educational purposes, in accordance with SEBI's guidelines on investor education. It must not be used to infer real market conditions or as the basis for actual investment decisions.
• No SEBI registration: GamifyFI is not a registered broker, portfolio manager, investment advisor, or research analyst under the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) Act, 1992. The App does not provide SEBI-regulated investment services.

You must be at least 13 years of age to use GamifyFI. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms.

• You may use GamifyFI without creating an account, but Cloud Sync and cross-device features require a Google account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
• We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these Terms.

You agree to use GamifyFI only for lawful personal finance tracking purposes. You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App or its source code
• Use the App to process financial data of others without their consent
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of our servers or infrastructure
• Use the App for any commercial, fraudulent, or illegal purpose
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the App
• Remove or alter any proprietary notices or branding from the App

Certain features require additional permissions which are entirely optional:

• Notification Listener: Required for automatic transaction detection from payment app notifications. You can disable this at any time in Settings.
• Gmail Sync: Requires Google OAuth authorization. We only process bank alert emails for transaction extraction. You can revoke access at any time from your Google Account settings.
• Biometric Lock: Optional security feature. Biometric data is processed entirely by your device's OS and never accessed by us.

Disabling optional permissions will not affect core manual transaction tracking functionality.

You own your financial data. We do not claim any ownership rights over the transaction data, goals, or personal records you create in GamifyFI.

You may export your data as CSV at any time and permanently delete all data (including cloud backups) through the app's Settings screen.

Financial insights, coaching responses, and educational lessons generated by the AI features are for informational purposes only and are generated automatically based on the data you provide. They:

• May not always be accurate, complete, or up-to-date
• Do not constitute professional financial advice
• Should not be the sole basis for any financial decision

We are not liable for any financial decisions made based on AI-generated content within the App.

The App is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
• Continuous, uninterrupted, or error-free operation
• Accuracy or completeness of automatically detected transactions

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, GamifyFI and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to:

• Loss of data or financial records
• Financial losses based on AI-generated insights
• Unauthorized access to your device or account
• Errors in automatic transaction detection

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the App or by updating the "Last updated" date on this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of India.

The App is subject to applicable Indian laws and regulations including but not limited to:

• The Information Technology Act, 2000 and its amendments
• The Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act)
• Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) guidelines on investor education and financial literacy
